Ronald Acuna Leaves Game With Hip Tightness
5 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna left in the third inning of Tuesday's game with the Royals after experiencing hip tightness in the field during the previous inning. Acuna came up limping in the second inning while running after a fly ball that was ultimately caught by Nick Markakis and was then replaced by Billy Hamilton in the following inning. With Freddie Freeman already on the shelf with bone spurs in his elbow, the Braves are limping into the playoffs and can only hope the diagnosis on Acuna isn't serious. Sitting on 41 home runs and 37 SB, this injury will likely lessen Acuna's chances of becoming only the fifth player in major league history to reach the rare air of the 40/40 club.
