Ronald Guzman Carted Off Field Monday
4 years agoTexas Rangers first baseman Ronald Guzman (leg) had to be carted off the field in the bottom of the first inning after colliding with two of his teammates, according to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News. Grant reports that Guzman, Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Anderson Tejeda collided while attempting to make a play on a fly ball in left field, and after the collision Guzman appeared to have sustained some kind of leg injury. Grant also adds that Guzman was transferred into a wheelchair after being carted off the field. Guzman has struggled to start the year, hitting 1-for-16 with six strikeouts after slashing .308/.413/.590 with three home runs in 16 games during Spring Training. Managers should continue to check for updates on his injury status.
