Ronald Jones II Has Catching Woes In Training Camp
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones II was notably dropping passes thrown by quarterback Tom Brady in training camp on Sunday, per the Tampa Bay Times. Though a couple other Bucs running backs had trouble holding onto the ball, it was the 23-year-old Jones who was struggling the most in terms of catching passes. Head coach Bruce Arians was not pleased with his backs, calling the drops simply unacceptable. Last season, Jones did have 31 receptions on 40 targets for 309 yards. Heading into this season, the USC product will enter as the RB1 on the team, but other backs such as rookie Ke'Shawn Vaughn and veteran LeSean McCoy will look to cut into his production. Jones is better considered a low-end RB2.
