Ross Stripling Earns Victory Over Astros
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Ross Stripling limited the Houston Astros to one run over five innings in Saturday's win, improving his record to 2-3 on the season. The right-hander threw 74 pitches in the contest, allowing seven hits and a walk with four punchouts as his club went on to win 6-2. Stripling has pitched much better over his last three outings with just two earned runs over his last 17 IP, but he's yet to surpass 84 pitches in any outing this season. This limits his overall upside, but he's still emerging onto the streamer radar in mixed leagues, although you'd be rolling the dice for his next start versus the Red Sox.
