2 years agoToronto Blue Jays right-hander Ross Stripling (glute) was placed on the 15-day injured list on Wednesday with a right glute strain and Matt Peacock was recalled in a corresponding move. Manager John Schneider said the hope is that Stripling requires only a short recovery time. Fantasy managers will be hoping that the 32-year-old veteran will be able to return when eligible in mid-August. New pitcher Mitch White looks like the leading candidate to take Stripling's place in the starting rotation. Stripling is worth stashing in the majority of fantasy leagues, as he's gone 5-3 with a 3.16 ERA (3.02 FIP), a 1.10 WHIP, one save, 67 strikeouts and 15 walks in 82 2/3 frames over 23 appearances (15 starts) for the Blue Jays this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
