Ross Stripling Helps Dodgers End Their Six-Game Skid
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Ross Stripling allowed one earned run, four hits and a walk with three strikeouts over a career-high eight innings to pick up his first victory of the season on Sunday against the Milwaukee Brewers. He threw 59 of his 88 pitches for strikes, tossing 22 first-pitch strikes to 28 of the batters he faced, helping the Dodgers snap a six-game losing streak. During the skid the L.A. starters had managed an 8.37 ERA and 1.73 WHIP, and it was the first quality start by a Dodgers starter since Stripling had one on April 3. He is also the first Dodgers hurler to go at least eight innings since Walker Buehler on Sept. 14, 2018. His next scheduled start is set for Friday in Milwaukee, as he looks to replicate these results.
