6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Ross Stripling looked solid in his start against the Reds Wednesday, allowing a single run on three hits (including a solo home run) and a walk with four strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings. The start was Stripling's first since August 9 as he had been dealing with a back injury, so the limited innings was not surprising (he actually exceeded the projected three innings of work by an out). The 28-year-old now has a 2.61 ERA, a 9.90 K/9 rate, and a 1.43 BB/9 rate in 113 2/3 IP this season. Manager Dave Roberts said that Stripling may make another start Sunday against the Cardinals. Fantasy owners in daily lineup leagues should monitor Stripling's news closely over the coming days.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
