Ross Stripling Strikes Out Nine In Loss
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Ross Stripling pitched well over 6 2/3 innings versus the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing three runs (two earned) in a tough-luck loss. The right-hander gave up just three hits and a pair of walks while striking out nine as he cruised through most of the game until the seventh when he served up a go-ahead two-run homer to Gary Sanchez. Stripling has pitched much better over his last five outings with 29 strikeouts, a 2.46 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP, making him a worthwhile pickup in fantasy leagues. He'll also face the Marlins followed by the Orioles which gives him a couple of good opportunities for wins backed behind a formidable offense.
