Rowdy Tellez Goes 0-For-4 In Loss
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Rowdy Tellez went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Astros, lowering his BA to .207 on the year. The hulking slugger's OBP and OPS now drop to respective .270 and .597 marks with three homers and five RBI through 40 games played in what is shaping out to be a disappointing year. Tellez carries a respectable 20.6% K-rate with a 48.9% Hard Hit% and 13.6% Barrel%, but hasn't found much luck with a .244 BABIP. There's a chance his bat regresses positively, but he's still not finding consistent enough playing time with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. manning first base and a crowded outfield occupying the DH slot.
