2 years agoThe Kansas City Royals have acquired outfielder Drew Waters, pitcher Andrew Hoffmann, and infielder CJ Alexander from the Atlanta Braves. In exchange, the Braves will receive a competitive balance selection (35th overall) in the 2022 MLB Draft. Waters was blocked from regular playing time in Atlanta, so this trade should be a benefit to him. He's hitting .253/.311/.411 with six homers and five steals in 52 games in the minors this season. Waters should be able to contribute to the Royals roster in the near future. Although, he's not worth rostering outside of being a possible dynasty stash. Hoffmann and Alexander are likely to be depth, but Waters is the biggest winner here.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
