4 years agoThe Kansas City Royals have announced that they are calling up left-handed pitching prospect Kris Bubic for Friday's home opener versus the White Sox. Bubic is the team's sixth-ranked prospect and has yet to pitch in a game above High-A. He impressed at that level with a 2.30 ERA and 110 strikeouts in 101 2/3 IP, but it's a surprising move by the club to bring him up with little professional experience. Bubic is a player to monitor in redraft leagues, but it's hard to anticipate a stellar outing versus a talented White Sox lineup.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
