6 years agoDenver Broncos running back Royce Freeman contributed 22 yards on nine carries in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Rams. He was not targeted in the passing game. The good news here is that Freeman saw the bulk of the carries Sunday with his nine -- more than double of fellow RB Phillip Lindsay -- accounting for 60% of Denver's backfield rushing attempts. Even better news is that the Broncos head to Arizona Thursday night to face a Cardinals run defense which has been dreadful to start the season. Freeman should still be considered a viable flex option despite the disappointing outing.--Leonard Francis II
