Royce Lewis Has Partially Torn ACL
2 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop prospect Royce Lewis (knee) will miss the remainder of the 2022 season with a partially torn ACL. Lewis is expected to miss up to 12 months. The 23-year-old originally went to the injured list on May 30 with what was called a bone bruise in his right knee, but clearly it was much more than that. This is actually Lewis' second surgery on his right ACL, with the first coming last year. This is a major blow for Lewis, the Twins and fantasy managers, as he was carving out a path for himself before this injury as a utility player for Minnesota. Hopefully, Lewis can recover fully and be an asset next year.
