3 years agoFormer Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Russell Gage is expected to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a source. Gage had 66 receptions on 94 targets for 770 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games (nine starts) for the Falcons in 2021 and took on a much bigger role for most of the year when Calvin Ridley stepped away for personal reasons. He had an even better year in 2020, when he caught 72 of 109 targets for 786 yards and four scores in 16 games (eight starts). The 26-year-old projects to open the 2022 season as the No. 2 receiver behind Mike Evans with Chris Godwin recovering from an ACL tear.
