Russell Gage Likely To Play In Week 1
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Russell Gage (hamstring) was listed as questionable for the Week 1 season opener against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, but the Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud writes that Gage is likely to play despite the questionable tag. Gage was limited in practice all week and has been working with the team since the end of August. With Chris Godwin (knee) likely to be limited or out in Week 1, the Bucs could be rolling with Mike Evans, Julio Jones and Gage in three-wide sets against Dallas. The 26-year-old was a popular breakout candidate in 2022 before the Bucs signed Jones this summer. If Godwin is out on Sunday night, Gage will serve as a WR4/flex for fantasy managers in deeper leagues.
