Russell Gage Returns To Practice
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Russell Gage (hamstring) returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday. Gage played 42 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 1 win over the Dallas Cowboys and caught both of his targets for just 13 yards. When all of the team's receivers are healthy, Gage is going to be the No. 4 wideout in Tampa. However, Chris Godwin (hamstring) is unlikely to play in Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints, and Mike Evans (calf) and Julio Jones (knee) have yet to practice this week. Even if Evans and Jones suit up this Sunday, Gage is in line for a much bigger role in the passing attack. He's worth considering as a WR4/flex with upside in Week 2.
