5 years agoLos Angeles Chargers left tackle Russell Okung (heart) will not be ready for Week 1 due to a pulmonary embolism, according to general manager Tom Telesco. Okung is a big loss for quarterback Philip Rivers' blind side, and tackle Trent Scott has been filling in for him. The 37-year-old has his back against the wall with Okung out and running back Melvin Gordon still holding out. Rivers might slip to fantasy backup status because his early-season prognosis looks bleak.--Ryan Dodson
