7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in the 5-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. That's one way to break out of a hitting slump. Coming into this game, Braun was 1-for-12 with his only hit being a three-run home run against the Padres, and like his Padres home run, this one was in the ninth inning as well. However, since Braun's home run was in Milwaukee, the hit was a walk-off shot. The home run also came directly after Christian Yelich's home run, making this the first game in MLB history to start and end with two back-to-back home runs. Braun, despite playing left field in this start, is bound to gain first base eligibility, which allows for some flexibility in fantasy. If he can pick up his hitting, he is a must-own in all formats despite the possibility of inconsistent starts.--Caden Inaba
