Ryan Feltner Destroyed In MLB Debut
3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Ryan Feltner was destroyed in his MLB debut on Sunday, allowing six runs on five hits with two walks over 2 2/3 innings in a 9-2 blowout loss to the Braves. Feltner was called up on Saturday and started in place of the injured Austin Gomber (back) on Sunday. This was a rough debut for the 25-year-old righty as he didn't even last three innings. He served up home runs to Ozzie Albies, Adam Duvall, and Travis d'Arnaud while failing to record a strikeout. The poor outing translates to a 20.25 ERA and 2.63 WHIP for the rookie. To be fair, having to start against the loaded Braves in Coors Field for your debut is no easy task. There should be better days ahead for Feltner.
