Ryan Fitzpatrick More Comfortable In Washington Offense
3 years agoWashington Football Team quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has potentially the biggest opportunity of his career in year 17. When addressing the media on Tuesday, the veteran made it known he is feeling more comfortable in Scott Turner's scheme. John Keim reports that the 38-year-old had to get used to making different reads, but he is now on the same page with everybody around him. The journeyman admits he had his challenges to begin his time with his new team, but it is all starting to fall into place. With potentially the best supporting cast he has had in his NFL career, Fitzpatrick makes for an interesting QB2 in fantasy. Terry McLaurin and Logan Thomas have built a strong connection with their new quarterback, and the speedy Curtis Samuel could take full advantage of the deep ball attempts that the gunslinger loves to include in his game. The Washington offense was one of their weak spots last year, but with their offseason additions, this can potentially be a very explosive unit. Against weak opposing defenses, Fitzpatrick can be a good streaming option to fill in for bye weeks or injuries.
