Ryan Fitzpatrick, Other Starters To Play In Preseason Opener
3 years agoWashington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera will have newly signed quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and the starting offense in action when the team opens the preseason against the New England Patriots on Thursday. "What you're looking for is the command, the command of the offense, command of what's happening on the field and I think the respect of his teammates when he's on the field," Rivera said. Fitzpatrick will need to get on the same page with his supporting cast, including the likes of Terry McLaurin, Antonio Gibson, Logan Thomas and others. Curtis Samuel (groin) will be held out of the start of preseason action, so Fitzpatrick will have to wait to build a rapport with him. Fitzpatrick is surrounded by potentially the most talented group of skill players he has ever played with, making him a QB2 for fantasy with weekly streaming appeal.
