3 years agoWashington Football Team quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) underwent an MRI on Monday, which revealed a hip subluxation. He is expected to be placed on the injured reserve and miss at least the next three weeks. It's unclear if the move will be season-ending at this time. The earliest Fitzpatrick can return is Week 5 against the New Orleans Saints on October 10. Taylor Heinicke was named the team's starting quarterback for Thursday's Week 2 matchup against the New York Giants. Kyle Allen will serve as Heinicke's backup. Washington will get the Giants, Buffalo Bills, and the Atlanta Falcons in the next three games.
