Ryan Fitzpatrick Will Look To Start Off Strong Week 1
3 years agoWashington Football Team quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will look to make a good first impression with his new team against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1. The Chargers allowed the ninth-fewest passing yards per game last year, and that was without their elite safety Derwin James. This matchup has the look of a low-scoring game, so Washington may opt to keep the ball on the ground with Antonio Gibson. Their elite defense will likely prevent Fitzpatrick from being in a situation where he must air it out to get back into the game. Still, the 38-year-old offers some streaming appeal and should be started in two-QB leagues. The presence of Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, and Logan Thomas gives the veteran a more positive outlook, even while going against a solid pass defense.
