5 years agoBack starting under center in Week 7, Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick brought his winless team to within three points late in the fourth quarter against the Buffalo Bills, but ultimately lost to his former team 31-21. Fitzpatrick had his best fantasy performance of the season, throwing for 282 yards and a touchdown while adding another score on an 11-yard run. Fitzpatrick and the Dolphins will face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night, who are allowing the 10th-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in 2019. After throwing a season-high 35 times in last week’s loss, Miami seems willing to let Fitzpatrick’s arm do the heavy lifting of their anemic offense. Given his long track record, that strategy can sometimes end with a fantasy-worthy line but will almost always end with multiple interceptions. Starting the Harvard-educated journeyman this week is a move only for those in two-quarterback leagues and those who are truly desperate.--Nicklaus Gaut - RotoBaller
