Ryan Helsley Notches Fifth Save Of Season Monday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Ryan Helsley picked up his fifth save of the season in Monday's 7-5 win over the Pirates. Helsley entered the game to pitch the ninth inning with a two-run lead and delivered a 1-2-3 inning with a strikeout. Bullpen mate Giovanny Gallegos has seen the most save opportunities this season with 11, but he pitched in the seventh inning of this game. Helsley has seen seven save opportunities of his own and has pitched very well, compiling a 0.37 ERA with 33 strikeouts and six walks over 24 1/3 innings pitched. He is currently rostered in 65% of leagues and should be rostered in at least all roto leagues at this time.
