3 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers collected a pair of hits, one of them his fourth home run of the year, in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Seattle Mariners. Jeffers started his day off with a 102.2 MPH RBI single in the first inning, then later padded the Twins' lead with a 109.5 MPH solo home run. The 24-year-old backstop hasn't put together the most patient at-bats since being called up, though the numbers are otherwise great for fantasy purposes. In 39 June at-bats, Jeffers is slashing .282/.300/.692 with four home runs, two doubles, a triple, and nine RBI. He has also been a plus on the defensive end, placing in the 80th percentile in pitch framing, giving the Twins a glimpse at what their future catcher situation looks like. Jeffers can be a contributor to fantasy rosters right now as well as in the future.--Tim Capurso
