3 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers drove in a pair of runs for the second straight game in Friday's win over the Texas Rangers. Jeffers reached first on a throwing error in the first inning, driving in a run, then walked with the bases loaded to collect another RBI. The 24-year-old has started 11 games to Benjamin Rortvedt's six in June, posting a .962 OPS with six extra-base hits and 11 RBI. Jeffers tweaked his swing when he was sent down to the minors, with one of the most noticeable results being his improved performance against fastballs. He posted a .243 expected wOBA in April, though that has improved to .498 in June. Jeffers is certainly an option for fantasy teams that need help at the backstop position.--Tim Capurso
