3 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers notched an RBI and two walks in Thursday's win over the Chicago White Sox. Jeffers added on a late run for the Twins in the ninth inning, singling in Trevor Larnach. He also showed a patient eye, drawing a pair of walks for the second time in three games. Jeffers will look to carry over his strong play from June into July, as he posted a .801 OPS with five homers in the previous month. Mitch Garver (groin) won't be back until after the All-Star break, though it will be interesting to see how the team divvies up the playing time, as Jeffers has certainly earned a larger role.--Tim Capurso
