7 years agoThe Minnesota Twins informed outfielder Ryan LaMarre that he has made the team, claiming the final roster spot and bumping outfielder Zack Granite to Triple-A Rochester. LaMarre was Minnesota's best hitter this spring, batting .475 with two homers and four doubles in 40 at-bats. It had appeared that Granite had the inside track to the fourth outfielder role in Minnesota but LaMarre's hot hitting made it tough to reassign him to the minors. LaMarre was originally a second-round draft pick of the Cincinnati Reds back in 2010 and last played with the Oakland A's in 2017. Manager Paul Molitor said, “His play and his energy has been impressive." Unless he's able to keep up the hot hitting in the regular season, LaMarre isn't likely to be a fantasy factor this season.--Matt T - RotoBaller
