4 years agoColorado Rockies first/second baseman Ryan McMahon has the backing of Coors Field for half of his games, yet he has been unable to become a consistent season-long asset in 2020. His home/road splits this year have been drastic, slashing .271/.386/.576 at his friendly confines, while slashing .140/.228/.240 away from the hitter’s haven. Coors has been a paradise for batters since its inception, although making contact is imperative to success; McMahon has struck out at a 36.2% clip this year, effectively neutralizing his own upside. After hammering breaking pitches last year at a .287 BA and .574 SLG clip, the pendulum has swung in the complete opposite direction this season, with a .154 BA (and .089 xBA) and .385 SLG (and .176 xSLG). Season-long owners are best served looking elsewhere, with McMahon representing a DFS upside play when at Coors.--Jesse Borek
