Ryan McMahon Swats 19th Homer On Wednesday
3 years agoColorado Rockies third baseman Ryan McMahon went a combined 1-for-6 with a two-run home run and a strikeout in Wednesday's doubleheader against the Chicago Cubs. McMahon went hitless in the Rockies' game one loss and didn't start game two initially but entered as a pinch-hitter. He came up clutch in the extra-innings of game two as he swatted a two-run homer in the 10th inning off Jake Jewell. The 26-year-old infielder has gone yard just three times since July 1 after swatting 16 bombs over the first three months of the year. Despite the power drought, he's put together a decent season, slashing .263/.333/.458 with 19 home runs, 65 RBI, and four stolen bases over 419 at-bats.
