3 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Ryan Mountcastle (elbow) exited Sunday's game after being hit by a pitch on his left elbow, according to Joe Trezza of MLB.com. There's no word on the severity of the injury, but it's possible that given the fact Sunday is the last day of games before the All-Star break, the Orioles may have just exercised caution in order to let him rest up during the break. He's been having a nice year at the plate, slashing .255/.303/.447 with 14 homers, three steals, 48 RBI and 39 runs scored over 82 games. Managers should keep an eye out for updates during the break, but it's very likely that he won't miss a single game because of this injury.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
