3 years agoEdmonton Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was the team's lone scorer in Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Carolina, striking for the third time this season 10:11 into the second frame. Darnell Nurse and Jesse Puljujarvi set him up. RNH has slowed down lately, but the whole team has struggled for some reason. Edmonton has taken five straight losses after dropping five in total in the first 21 outings of the season. The slump won't last forever, though, and Nugent-Hopkins will again be a regular scorer once the team gets going again. He's having a nice bounce-back year with 24 points in 26 games after getting just 35 points in 52 outings in 2020-21.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
