4 years agoTampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Ryan Sherriff was placed on the restricted list on Saturday, according to Adam Berry of MLB.com. Berry reports that Sherriff will "take some time away from the game" and has the team's full support. The team is not disclosing any further details out of respect to his privacy. Sherriff had looked good in Spring Training with a 1.69 ERA and four strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings of work, and had already made one appearance this year in which he allowed one run on two hits in 1/3 inning of work.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
