Ryan Tannehill Slings Four Touchdowns To Close Regular Season
3 years agoTennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill tied a knot on the 2021 regular season by delivering his premier performance of the year, a four-touchdown, zero-interception outing over the Texans. Tannehill spread out the passing game love, with one receiving touchdown for each of A.J. Brown, Julio Jones, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and Anthony Firkser, with nine different receivers hauling in a catch. Tannehill's 12 wins this year are a career best, even as his touchdown-to-interception ratio (21 TDs, 14 INTs) took a drastic dip from where it sat in 2020 (33 TDs, seven INTs). By virtue of the victory, Tennessee will have an additional week to allow Derrick Henry (foot) to heal up; when healthy, Henry stands to be the focus of the Titans' offense, even as Tannehill stands to have solid DFS appeal with just one interception in his last five outings.
