3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Ryan Weathers (ankle) is progressing well in healing from an ankle injury that has kept him sidelined for almost two weeks, and he appears to be in line to start Saturday's contest against the Marlins, according to Dennis Lin of The Athletic. Weathers injured his ankle while attempting to field a ball on the infield, and after initial concerns that it could be a knee or Achilles injury, it appears that he has managed to avoid serious injury.
