4 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Ryan Weathers (knee) exited his start on Sunday with an apparent knee injury, according to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union Tribune. Acee adds that while attempting to make a tag play, Weathers' cleat appeared to get caught in the dirt, and after being seen grabbing at his knee in pain he was helped off the field. It's unclear what the injury is or its severity at this time, but it's yet another injury to strike the Padres starting rotation this week to go along with Dinelson Lamet's forearm inflammation and Yu Darvish landing on the injured list with hip inflammation.
