4 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Ryan Weathers blanked the Los Angeles Dodgers for 5 ⅔ innings Thursday, settling for a no-decision. The outing was the longest of the 21-year-old rookie's career, as he fanned six while relinquishing just a hit, walk and a hit batter over 89 pitches. On the roster bubble during spring training, Weathers has continued impressing each time he takes the bump, possessing a 0.59 ERA, 0.59 WHIP and 30 percent strikeout rate in 15 ⅓ frames. With starters Dinelson Lamet (forearm) injured and Chris Paddack struggling, Weathers is now a fixture in the Friars rotation. He lines up to face the Arizona Diamondbacks on the road next Wednesday and has certainly earned some fantasy respect.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
