3 years agoTampa Bay Rays left-hander Ryan Yarbrough (groin) was scheduled for a minor league rehab appearances with Triple-A Durham on April 28, and manager Kevin Cash would like to see him get to the 50-pitch mark before he rejoins the starting rotation. Yarbrough landed on the injured list on April 11 with left groin tightness. In his rehab outing Thursday, the 30-year-old looked sharper in his second rehab outing while throwing 59 pitches and allowing no earned runs and striking out four in 2 2/3 innings. It's unclear if he'll have to make one more rehab appearance before the Rays activate him from the IL. In other reliever news, right-hander J.T. Chargois (oblique) has advanced to playing catch at 90 feet.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
