4 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Ryan Yarbrough tossed 5 2/3 scoreless innings against the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday. Pitching behind opener Brent Honeywell Jr., Yarbrough allowed three hits and one walk while striking out six, but he missed out on earning the win in a 5-3 Rays victory. Yarbrough tied his season-high with six strikeouts, as it was his best appearance since his season debut on April 2. His 18.1 percent strikeout rate is down slightly from 2020, but his current 4.28 ERA should be slightly better according to his 3.85 xERA. If he can show improvement over his next few appearances, he could be worth using as a matchup-dependent streaming option.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
