7 years agoWashington Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman is back in the Nationals lineup, batting cleanup while center fielder Michael Taylor is batting ninth. That means starter Stephen Strasburg is batting eighth. Zimmerman was given the day off Wednesday but did pinch hit in the top of the sixth only to strike out. He's slashing .167/.286/.333 with only three hits, two walks and a home run. Taylor batting ninth isn't entirely surprising. The Nats are looking to get another baserunner on for that potent top half of the lineup. Taylor stole a base in Wednesday's game, his third of the season. Should Adam Eaton go down with an injury, Taylor or Trea Turner would likely occupy the leadoff spot.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
