5 years agoWashington Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman (foot) is nearing a return to the lineup, with the possibility he is activated before Tuesday's game. Zimmerman has looked good, going 6-for-16 (.375 average) with three RBI and five walks during his rehab assignment and should at least have a platoon role at first when he returns. Zimmerman may not be able to produce like he used to, but he could provide some value in deeper mixed leagues and NL-only leagues if he can find his stroke the rest of the way.--Joseph Magazzinich
