7 years agoWashington Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman will bat second in the order for the third time on Monday versus Pirates starter Jameson Taillon. Zimmerman is 3-for-4 against Taillon with a double and two RBI and a 1.750 OPS. Taillon struck him out in the other at-bats. The move up in the order was designed to wake Zimmerman up and he responded on Day 1, going 2-for-5 with a double and a home run. But he was blanked in four at-bats on Sunday.
