6 years agoSan Francisco Giants 1B Ryder Jones (knee) was able to take batting practice in camp on Friday for the first time since undergoing surgery to repair a dislocated left patella while swinging last September. It's possible he is held out of some Cactus League spring games early on, but all indications are that he should be up to speed by early March which will give him a shot at being ready for Opening Day. At this point he is considered a long shot to break camp with the big club, so avoid him for fantasy purposes until further notice.--Daniel Dobish
