Ryon Healy Ready To Begin Rehab Assignment
7 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Ryon Healy (ankle) will head to Double-A Arkansas and begin a rehab assignment, per MLB.com. Healy is recovering from a sprained ankle and told reporters he feels "great" and just needs a few games to get some at-bats in. Healy was acquired from the A's in the offseason to bring some more thump to the Mariners lineup and must be eager to show his new team what he can provide. Healy hit a career-high 25 home runs last season with the A's while driving in 78 runs and hitting .271. The 26-year-old could be back in the Mariners lineup by the weekend or early next week.
