3 years agoThe New Orleans Saints are signing former Chicago Bears quarterback Andy Dalton to a one-year deal worth up to $6 million on Tuesday, according to a source. The deal will include $3 million guaranteed. With Taysom Hill focusing on tight end in 2022, the Saints are bringing in the Red Rifle to serve as Jameis Winston's backup under center. The 34-year-old played in eight games (six starts) for the Bears in 2021, going 149-for-236 for 1,515 yards, eight touchdowns and nine interceptions. He had a QBR of just 33.6 and a passer rating of 76.9. Dalton could be slightly more attractive as a low-end QB2 in fantasy if he's forced to make starts in New Orleans, but fantasy managers can probably do better.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
