3 years agoThe New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms with the No. 19 overall pick, offensive tackle Trevor Penning of Northern Iowa. It is a four-year, fully guaranteed deal with a fifth-year option. Penning will be tasked with filling the huge void left by the departure of former left tackle and three-time Pro Bowl selection Terron Armstead to the Miami Dolphins. Penning was the sixth offensive lineman off the board and was one of nine total to go in the first round. The 23-year-old Penning measured at 6-foot-7 and 325 pounds, with the Saints hoping he secures the left tackle spot for the long haul.--Dessy John
