3 years agoThe New Orleans Saints re-signed quarterback Jameis Winston to a two-year deal with a base value of $28 million on Monday, according to sources. The deal includes $21 million guaranteed. The Saints missed out on Deshaun Watson, but they'll settle for a reunion with Winston. The 28-year-old suffered a torn ACL on Oct. 31, but his recovery is going well and he could be ready for the start of the regular season. In the seven games before his injury, Winston threw for 1,170 yards on 161 attempts for 14 touchdowns and three interceptions. Receiver Michael Thomas will be back in 2022 to give Winston a bona fide No. 1 wideout, and he should be attractive as a strong fantasy backup in his second year as New Orleans' starter.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
