Jets May Wait To Decide Zach Wilson's Week 1 Status
2 years agoNew York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson (knee) has an "outside chance" to be ready for Week 1. However, head coach Robert Saleh may wait until the week of the season opener before deciding if Wilson will be under center versus the Baltimore Ravens. The sophomore recently had surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus suffered during a preseason matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Unquestionably, Saleh will play it safe with the 23-year-old and not rush him back before he's fully healthy. Wilson has plenty of upside heading into the 2022-23 campaign, so even if he misses a game or two, he still has the potential to exceed his ADP expectations. At the same time, there's also a possibility he'll have a repeat of his subpar rookie season.
