Salvador Perez Blasts Homer In Return
2 years agoKansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez returned to the lineup with a bang during Friday's contest against the New York Yankees. The veteran catcher had been sidelined since June 24th due to the fact he needed surgery on his thumb. Now, Perez is back and wasted little time making his presence known. He went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run during the loss to the Yankees. The 424-foot blast came in the fifth inning off ace pitcher Gerrit Cole. The 32-year-old is hitting .211/.254/.436 with 12 homers and 37 RBI this season. Hopefully this game was a sign of good things to come for Perez.
